Alongside micronization, De Grandi prepares powder blends and pre-dispersions for the rubber and plastics industry: several components combined in defined proportions, delivered ready to be introduced into the compound.
For the customer this means one input instead of several, with the dosing already done upstream and verified.
The combination
The two operations are complementary. Micronization reduces particle size and increases specific surface area; mixing distributes the components evenly through the mass. A blend made from micronized powders is more homogeneous than one made from coarse materials, simply because finer particles distribute more readily.
Having both capabilities on the same site means the two steps can be planned together rather than as separate supply chains.
